This paper generalizes both the author’s own original data and all available materials obtained by the Russian and foreign researchers when studying guyots of the Magellan Seamounts. Through 1980ies–1990ies, the Magellan Seamounts became an object of continuous studies for both Russian the and foreign researchers. First of all, it has been due to the fact that considerable accumulations of ferromanganesian crusts and nodules are found over the slopes and tops of the Magellan Seamounts. Though having some similar features, the guyots of the Magellan Seamounts differ considerably in their geological structure, time of formation and duration of volcanic activity.
Keywords:  Magellan seamounts, guyots, ferromanganesian crust.
