In the south of the Far East, a promising new source of strategic metals, including precious, has
been discovered – overburden coal seams at the Pavlovsk Deposit, located in the central part of Primorsky
Kray. By the main technical parameters (large volumes, industrial metal grade), these rocks
meet the current requirements for solid minerals. The paper shows the possibility of applying the
neutron activation analysis for the determination of gold in ash dumps and overburden coal seams.
The perspective scheme of sample preparation for deep processing and extraction of valuable components
from man-made carbon materials has been developed. |
