Using horizontal starch gel electrophoresis, the genetic control of MDH, SKDH, 6-PGD, IDH, PEPCA, GOT, FDH, LAP, PGI, PGM, SOD, GDH enzymes was studied in the seed megagametophytes of Siberian spruce (Picea obovata Ledeb.) from its three natural populations in the Yenisei River Area of Siberia. Fine electrophoretic resolution was obtained for the allelic products of 22 loci. Four loci (Got-1, Sod-1, Pgm-1, Mdh-1) were monomorphic, while the other loci (Mdh-2, Mdh-3, Skdh-1, Skdh-2, 6-Pgd-2, 6-Pgd-3, Idh-2, Pepca, Got-2, Got-3, Fdh, Lap-1, Lap-2, Pgi-1, Pgi-2, Pgm-2, Sod-2, Gdh) were polymorphic. Segregation analysis of the allozyme variants revealed in Siberian spruce confirms their monogenic inheritance.
Keywords:  Siberian spruce, genetic control, enzymes, locus, allele.
