The Earthenware in Life of the Ancient Population of Chukotka |

| The article is devoted to one of the most interesting aspects of material culture of the ancient population of Chukotka – to earthenware. On an example of cultures of epoch from a Neolith up to Ethnographic time of Chukotka traditions of manufacturing and using of earthenware are considered, the place in a life and a facilities, and the reasons of its replacement are defined. Article is based on studying of archeological and ethnographic collections. The collected by S. I. Rudenko, M. G. Levin, N. N. Dikov, A. A. Orekhov, from funds of the Museum centre «Heritage of Chukotka» (Anadyr, Russia), the Museum of anthropology and ethnography (Saint Petersburg, Russia), Northern international university (Magadan, Russia). |
